About This Project
This project was carried out at United Utilities’ Urmston site. The project was to install 1no Road Gully with Metal Grate and 15m of 150mm Twin Wall Drainage Pipe to connect to an existing Manhole. To carry this out, we saw cut the concrete road to before excavating a 300mm wide trench to lay the 150mm dia twinwall pipe on drainage stone and backfilled with site won materials and then repaired the surface with 200mm thick concrete.
The project also involved core drilling a 100mm diameter hole through one of the 300mm wide concrete water tanks and a 300mm dia x 200mm deep sump to install a pump to deal with flooding issues.
