About This Project

This project comprised the main phase of a scheme to create a community woodland on the site of a former tip. Our works included:

• Transporting 57,000 tonnes of sand, shell and green waste compost from Coast Road, Southport to the site
• Mixing of these materials with peat and spreading on site to form suitable soils for tree planting
• Construction of:
  • Rolled stone access tracks and footpaths
  • Exposed aggregate concrete fords
  • Rendered concrete curved bench seating wall
  • Bitmac surfacing
  • Land drainage
