About This Project
This project comprised boundary treatment and footpath works to a Victorian park in Salford. 400 metres of newly fabricated metal railings were installed that are sympathetic to the existing fencing. As a variety of fencing was installed various fixing methods were used, for example, to accommodate perimeter treatments on top of existing brick work.

A stepped entrance feature provides a new focal point through which to enter the park. This includes a fabricated steel arch welcoming visitors to the park and bearing the parks name.

The scheme was undertaken adjacent to two major highways entering the city of Salford and therefore required us to develop, with the client, traffic management plans to successfully and safely implement the works. This included working with the Highways Authority to obtain the appropriate permits and ensuring our operatives had appropriate training, i.e. Street Works Qualifications.

Through our supply chain we were able to offer added value to the client by value engineering the fencing solution and so increasing the scope of works able to be undertaken within the budget.
